update

So as most of you know we had a bit of an interesting/scary occurrence recently. Justin plays soccer on Monday nights and two weeks ago I got a call from one of his teammates' wives saying that Justin had hit heads with another player and had been unconscious for about a minute. She took him to the ER and I met him there. The main concern about his condition was that he was having short term memory loss and wasn't retaining anything we were telling him-basically asking the same few questions over and over. To make a long story short, they did a CT scan and it came out o-e had a concussion and amnesia-not fun! I took him home and the next day his memory pretty much came back-a lot better than it was at the hospital-he still doesn't' remember the game or anything the rest of the night-but other than that-life is back to normal-THANKFULLY! I now have told him that he needs to wear one of those soft helmets when he plays :)

Busy couple of days!

We've been quite busy the past few days and I think the weekend definitely wore Ethan out. On Friday Ethan got a chance to meet Alicia and Kevan, who were in from Nebraska. We hung out at the house a while and then headed to Ricardo's for some pizza, which was excellent as always. We then stopped by St Mary's Festival, it was alittle too loud there so we didn't stay too long.

On Saturday, Justin had off so we planned to walk over to the Bayview library for their book sale, but coincidentally the South Shore Water Frolics parade was about to start. We decided, well I guess I decided because Justin was very reluctant to watch the parade, to make it Ethan's first parade. It was a lot of fun and a good first parade because it wasn't too long, but as you can see, Ethan enjoyed it in his own little way!

We then headed off to Ethan's babysitters' book party, she just started selling Barefoot Books.
We ended the day Saturday with a trip to Bastille Days, where we ran into Justin's parents, and aunts and uncles and hung out with Justin and Lizzy for awhile too. We didn't get home until almost midnight-luckily Ethan fell asleep at Bastille Days-still a little later than his normal bedtime of 7:30.

Sunday rolled around and we keep going, we headed over to South Shore Frolics with my parents. We walked there from our house and there was a nice breeze so it was a great walk. We walked through the art fest, the car show and ate some yummy food. Ethan stayed up for almost all of it and had a great time laughing and giggling.

Today is my day off so I got to hang out with Ethan all day, I think he was catching up on his sleep though because his naps were a little longer than usual. When Justin got home we went for a nice walk to Stone Creek and then decided to try rice cereal with Ethan when we got home. It took us about 20 minutes to find the video camera, but finally we were all set....Ethan's first bite did not go so well, I think he was a little confused, but then he got the hang of it and ate pretty much all of it.

4 months and Baby Graham!

We just had our 4 month check up and Ethan seems to be right on track, he's 14 lbs 14 oz now and 24 1/4 inches long-he's slowed down in inches but our Dr made a good point that he's got genetics working against him in that field :) -we're going to start rice cereal soon, so we're excited to see how that goes...

Ethan's been spending more time exploring different things and new toys-he loves his froggie, which you can see seems to be his comfort item, and the exersaucer-not to mention mommy's necklaces . He also just realized that his tongue moves and is constantly sticking it out-which is great along with his little giggle that just cracks everyone up!
He also doesn't mind sharing his bumbo with Lola-
I have no idea why she decided it would be a comfortable place
to hang out-but oh well. We were alittle worried at first but she seems to be getting along quite well with him.

Also very exciting news, Ethan's new cousin Graham was born on July 2nd! He's the biggest of the three boys in terms of weight, but just seems to be the littlest of them all. Justin is very excited because he can now dress them up as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Halloween-he's one step closer to having all 4(he said he'd sacrifice and be one for now). We're really excited to have the 3 boys be able to grow up together and be so close in age.
